PreVision Logo "Bug"

Several people have asked about the logo of PreVision Partnership. Designed by Board member Jan Louie of DesignLogix it conveys...

1. A ministry rooted and grounded in Biblical, historic, orthodox Christianity reflected in the Christian fish symbol facing left, to the past

2. A vision of the future reflected in the eye looking right, to the future

3. The centrality of the Cross of Christ reflected in the central intersection of the logo

4. A worldwide passion, vision and ministry represented by the global image

(Faith Stories, of people who have come to faith in Christ over the years share their stories, will return in the next issue of PreVision Post.)

PreVision Tour Group at the Athens AcropolisGreece...http://img.constantcontact.com/letters/images/spc.gif

I just got back from Greece in October from a fabulous PreVision Biblical Tour-with-a-Purpose. I strongly encourage you to consider joining us next March for tours of Greece and Israel.

Nancy Sapp, a tour participant says: "...it was inspiring - a trip of a lifetime. Nothing I have ever done can compare to it. The New Testament scriptures are now more personal to me. Walking in the cities of Athens, Corinth, Philippi, Thessalonica, and Berea where Paul lived, worked, and preached was an incredible experience. Because of your insightful teaching while at those sites (and while traveling to them), I see Paul and his ministry in living color - real and exciting. In addition, it was edifying to meet evangelists who are now ministering in Greece. They are definitely the "Pauls" of today. I felt I had gotten my money's worth by the 3rd day and by the 8th day I was in awe!"

Greek Youth Worship Event: Acropolois BackdropRecent Ministry...

http://img.constantcontact.com/letters/images/spc.gifWhile in Greece, I had the awesome privilege of speaking to about 150 Greek young people at an event hosted by Hellenic Ministries. The picture above shows the band rehearsing with the Acropolis as a backdrop in the window behind them! I was also able to meet with a number of church leaders for fellowship and encouragement.

I continue to spend significant time on the book I am writing on personal evangelism --- "Hooked on Fishing". A good book takes long time to write! I have also been speaking at several churches in the Atlanta area and further afield. The conference topics I most often speak on are "Rediscovering tghe Gospel" (helping believers realize afresh the power of the gospel for joyful living), "Hooked on Fishing (influencing your friends for Christ --- and enjoying it!) and Christian leadership. Next year, I am committed to conferences in South Africa, India, China, and Greece, as well as several Biblical tours.

PayPal Card DonatePartners NEEDED...

http://img.constantcontact.com/letters/images/spc.gifFinances are still very tight. All donations and honoraria (speaking "fees") go directly to PreVision Partnership; my salary is paid from donations after we have paid all overheads, expenses, and administrative costs. At this point, I am now earning less (with a family to support) than when Becky and I started in pastoral ministry in 1989! We have approximately 50 Ministry Founding Partners providing approximately 55% of the budget. We need to add another 50+ Ministry Founding Partners to fully support the ministry. Please pray about this need and respond as the Lord leads you. We are thankful for each and every one of you who already support us financially.

If you want to underwrite a trip or part of one, please consider my trip to India (Hyderabad and Nepal) in February to train pastors and hold evangelistic meetings (this has changed from a Family Life topic). These costs include travel, expenses, a portion of salary, and scholarships for pastors and participants.

  • Nov. 2007 6 days: San Diego, CA: National Outreach Convention: $4,000
  • Feb. 2008 2 weeks: India: Teaching a Pastors Evangelism Conference & Evangelistic Events: $9,000
  • March 2008 3 weeks: Greece: Hellenic Ministries Board meetings, Teaching, Biblical Tours: $9,000
  • June 2008 2 weeks: South Africa: Teaching at Pastors Conference: $6,000
  • Aug. 2008 3 weeks: Thailand & China: Teaching & Training Mission Groups for 2008 Olympics: $9,000

We continue to cling to 1 Corinthians 9:14,"...those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel" (NIV) We are going to make it!
